“I’ve Got Talent: Showcasing My Work For Jesus”

The theme verse for VBS 2016 comes from Ephesians 2:10; “We are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do” (NIV). Since we are God’s handiwork, we inherently have value. And since we are created in Christ Jesus to do good works, we inherently have talent. During the week the students learned through the talents of gardeners (Adam and Eve), builders (Noah and his family), servants (Daniel and his friends), a carpenter (Jesus) and a writer, motivator and tent maker (Paul), how God uses talents bestowed upon each of us in order to draw more people to Him, and how to make the world a better place. God placed talents within you. Are you using them to do the good works God prepared in advance to be done? Or do you need to consult with the Lord to figure out what your talents are and how you should implement them? While VBS has concluded the conversation about our talents and God’s purpose for them continues. Feel free to visit. and add to the conversation, or to receive some clarity on what and how to use YOUR talents.
