Dialogue

It is a call and response between the worship leader (usually Rev. McCain, but not always) and the congregation. The purpose is to further tune into the praise and worship of God. And it goes a little something like this...

Worship Leader- I was glad when they said unto me; Let us go into the House of the Lord. Our feet shall stand within thy gates, O Jerusalem.

Congregation- For a day in They courts is better than a thousand. I had rather be a door keeper in the House of my God, than to dwell in the tents of wickedness.

Worship Leader- Because of the House of the Lord our God, I will seek thy good.

Congregation- Those that be planted in the House of the Lord shall flourish in the courts of our God.

Worship Leader- Blessed are they that dwell in Thy House; Lord, I have loved thy habitation, the place where they honor dwelleth.

Congregation- For the Lord is in His Holy Temple; let all the Earth keep silence before Him.

Worship Leader- Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in the sight, O Lord, my strength and my redeemer.

Congregation- O sing unto the Lord a new song, for He hath done marvelous things. Make a joyful noise unto the Lord, all the Earth and sing praises.

At this point, we then sing said praises with one stanza of “I Need The Every Hour”

I need Thee every hour, most gracious Lord;

No tender voice like Thine can peace afford.

I need Thee, O, I need Thee; Ev-‘ry hour I need Thee!

O, bless me now, my Savior; I come to Thee, A-men.
